Set against a backdrop of decay and failing infrastructure, the story follows the Consolidation of Iron as they make a harrowing discovery on a desolate moon labeled AT-5: an ocean of blood. In a desperate bid to find crucial resources, they swiftly launch an expedition involving a specially designed submarine, in which a convict is sealed inside. Due to the immense pressure and depth, the vessel's forward viewport has been reinforced with metal.
Success means freedom for the convict, but failure could lead to more dire consequences. This marks the 13th expedition into the abyss.
